Here's what it takes to become TRSC Royalty!
Eligibility:
Membership
on January 1st is required to be eligible for all royalty. The
Queen must be 18 (eighteen) years of age
or older as of January 1st of the year that they assume their
title. The Princess must be between the ages of 14 (fourteen) and 17
(seventeen) as of January 1st of the year that they assume their
title. A member may only hold the title of Princess once. The
Little Miss must be between the ages of 13 (thirteen) and 11 (eleven) as of
January 1st of the year that they assume their title.
A member may only hold the title of Little Miss once. The Little Buckaroo
must be must be 10 (ten) years or younger as of
January 1st of the year that they assume their title. A member
may only hold the title of Little Buckaroo once.
How to run:
Interested candidates must notify the club president by the August 7th deadline. Candidates then are interviewed, judged at the September Fun Show in a horsemanship class as well as a royalty ride and horsemanship pattern. The results of the
competition are announced during the club Christmas Party.
Representation:
All Royalty must agree to represent the Corporation in the following manner:
- Attend all club open shows.
- Attend five (5) or more general membership meetings.
- Attend two (2) or more club closed shows.
- Hand out awards at club open shows and the Washington County Fair.
- Represent in your best western wear, crown and banner Trail Riders Saddle Club by participating in the Queens rideat all WSCA shows in which you attend.
- Submit a monthly “Club News” letter to the WSCA Spotlight Editor. This responsibility is to be divided equally between the members of the court.
- Not represent any other WSCA club as part of their royal court.
